Global Tax Director

Northern Bergen County NJ company seeks a Global Tax Director who will be responsible for all tax aspects of the company’s global business operations. The position is responsible for tax planning, compliance, audit, and tax related financial statement aspects for all operations. The position is responsible for maintaining a thorough knowledge of relevant tax laws, regulations and accounting.  The Global Tax Director will be responsible to provide advice to senior management and must be able to explain technical tax issues succinctly and in a non-technical manner.

Specific responsibilities include:

• Management of foreign tax credits, earnings and profits, foreign source income, previously taxed income, and tax reporting






• Plan and execute tax strategies with outside service providers






• Analyze and ensure the proper reporting of the global tax impact of international transactions and planning






•  Manage all aspects of ongoing tax audits with a particular focus on any international issues raised






• Manage the design, implementation, and reporting of international planning and transfer pricing strategies

Qualifications/Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance required






• Master’s Degree preferred






• CPA required






• 10-15 years experience in international tax compliance, planning and structuring






• Expert knowledge of FIN48 and FAS109 required






• Public accounting preferred






• Manufacturing industry experience preferred






• Japan GAAP or Japan tax experience preferred
