Our client is a major financial services firm. Job description :
Assist the Vice President of Internal Audit with defining and updating the annual and long-range internal audit programs based on an annual assessment of compliance, financial and operating risks, as well as with presentations to senior management and the Audit Committee on the results of internal audits. Supervise the execution of internal audits with the following responsibilities: Approve the planning and communication of the detailed audit scope; Supervise audit teams comprised of both internal and 3rd party professionals Ensure completion of audits and special project by stated due dates Manage all aspects of the communication of audit findings on a timely basis from the closing meeting through to final audit report Assist with updating Internal Audit policies and procedures based on changes within the profession Who we are looking for :
Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Accounting with approximately 10+ years experience. A CPA with a combination of Big 4 Accounting firm and private industry experience is required An MBA and experience with financial systems preferred. Ideal candidate will have experience working in a global organization, experience interacting with all levels of management, strong knowledge of GAAP, financial systems and related technology internal controls, and a proven track record in managing a variety of audit assignments. Ability to work both independently and as a member of a team in a fast paced environment, handling multiple tasks simultaneously. Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills are required. Proficiency in financial system and MS Word and Excel (sorting, filtering, pivot tables, etc) are required - experience using PeopleSoft financial systems is highly desirable. Whats on offer :
