The Equity Markets Group undertakes equity derivatives activities in global equity markets. It utilises its risk management capabilities to originate equity-based financial solutions and products for retail and wholesale clients globally and also undertakes equity finance and hedge fund activities. The Group has offices in Australia, Hong Kong, Singapore, Japan, South Korea, South Africa, Europe, United States and Brazil.In this role, your responsibilities will include: Liaising with and managing the relationship between EMG Americas front office and EMG Finance on accounting, financial reporting and legal entity related matters Ensuring all finance related regulatory requirements are complied with on a timely and consistent basis and that appropriate controls/processes are in place to support the business Managing relationship and being primary contact with regulatory bodies, from an EMG Finance perspective Being the Finance first point of contact for EMG Americas on new business initiatives, and providing direction and advice as required and communicating with HQ Finance Ensuring all EMG Finance - Americas reconciliations (RACS) are complete and signed off monthly Carrying out responsibilities associated with being Legal Entity Controller for EMG entities - Americas Providing support and information to head of business operations -Americas, and contributing to reporting on a monthly and quarterly basis Managing relationship and be primary contact with Big4 for audits that involve EMG Finance - Americas Acting as Internal Audit liaison Assisting with budget preparations Improving the controls, processes and system enhancements that support the EMG Finance Who we are looking for :
Detailed knowledge of accounting for equity products, including complex derivatives and stock borrow/lend transactions under US GAAP & IFRS. Demonstrated knowledge of the regulatory and operational risk framework in the US, including knowledge of the US Broker/Dealer requirements CPA Excellent communication skills Good people management and leadership skills Whats on offer :
