This is a global and well established organization Job description :
This position will be responsible for the North American Derivatives Middle Office valuation. Metrics need to be developed to quickly ensure reasonability of prices and highlight outliers immediately. This individual will be the primary contact responsible for responding to the valuation and collateral requirements of Investment Front Office, Regulators, Internal and External Auditors, Territorial and Corporate Accounting teams, and Business Units. The individual in this role will need to coordinate the requirements and responsibilities of all these teams with respect to all derivative valuation and understand the impact of these values on financial reporting. Person will assist on implementing processes, procedures and controls upon the implementation of new investment strategies, ad-hoc reporting and analysis and audit requests. Incumbent will work with ALM and accounting on FAS 133 initiatives and set up of new trade types.Responsibilities: Building a Derivatives Middle office valuation process. Point person to coordinate and oversee all required daily, monthly and quarterly valuation issues for Companys derivatives portfolio. This includes collateral monitoring Leader to assist with research and valuation for all new Derivative Investment Strategies including ensuring compliance with SOX requirements. Point person responsible for coordination of all valuation related audit and regulatory requests, for Investment Front Office support and for the maintenance of all valuation related SOX requirements. Design and create derivative analytics for both financial reporting and front office needs. Understanding of derivative instruments, market data and system calculations. Resourcefulness- Ability to research and respond to Front Office, Corporate Accounting and Business Unit questions on Derivative results. This will be ad-hoc and will never be the same but should be resolved by the incumbent in most instances. Respond to Audit/Regulator Who we are looking for :
Qualifications: Bachelor Degree , CPA /MBA/CFA preferred 10+ Years experience in Financial Services/Investment derivatives functions Comprehensive understanding of Derivatives and Valuation Proven Ability to build, train and manage a team Experience with Investment Derivatives Systems Comprehensive understanding of Investment reporting requirements for Derivatives Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to manage competing priorities and to multi-task to meet extremely tight deadlines Whats on offer :
