SVP of Finance

Top Real Estate Investment and Financing is opening its doors for the SVP of Finance, groomed to take on the CFO role for the right perfessional!  An amazing opportunity for a fast-track finance professional with strong SEC, technical accounting/reporting experience and who wants to work close to home on Long Island, someone who is ready to take that next step in their career!

Responsibilities will include:

• Oversight of preparation of consolidated financial statements




• Overall hands on management of the Accounting functions of company’s various entities.  Overall staff of 17 with 3 direct reports ( Controller, Mgr. of Fin Reporting)




• Work closely with the CFO to prepare financials for earnings calls, Board presentations, press releases, Investor Reporting etc.




• Oversight of SEC regulatory reporting




• Key liaison with audit firms, banks and rating agencies




• Technical accounting/reporting issues




• Research/forecast financial implications of transactions




• Analysis of operations (budgeting/forecasting)




• Treasury/cash management




• Risk management




• Systems/ controls




• Tax consequences and special projects




• Work with CFO to provide financial expertise to the Executive Management Team as the firm evaluates investment opportunities

Requirements:

• CPA with 10-15 years experience public/private mix




• Strong SEC




• Foundation in public accounting plus real estate investment and/or transaction oriented financial service firm




• Well rounded experience including technical reporting, transaction analysis, tax, treasury, systems/controls




• Strategic thinker with hands on experience in a transaction oriented environment




• Entrepreneurial flexibility, ability to multi-task and meet strict deadline




• Strong managerial skills and professional preference
