Our client is looking for an experienced Controller looking to make the move to a divisional CFO. This position will be responsible for managing financial and accounting operations across all capital markets sales and trading activity.The CFO will be responsible for; Overseeing new product approval, valuations, product control and the aherence too accounting policy, namely; FASB 157/159, FASB133 and Investment Portfolio Accounting rules FASB 115, 161 Liaison with Corporate Controller, Risk, the trading desk heads and Treasury. Ensuring the integrity of all financial reporting and robust internal controls and procedures across derivatives, fixed income, equities, Credit/Loan Portfolio, FX, money markets Managing the complete internal and external reporting of financial records for the unit. Understanding of current GAAP and RAP accounting and reporting requirements for above noted products. Experience in general ledger/subsidiary ledger reconciliation processes. Who we are looking for :
Minimum 20+ years of financial services experience with a comprehensive understanding of financial management, accounting, and reporting requirements for a securities firm MBA, CPA preferred Understanding of current GAAP and RAP accounting and reporting requirements for above noted products. Experience in general ledger/subsidiary ledger reconciliation processes. Thorough knowledge of US GAAP, SEC regulations, and other regulatory reporting requirements including to the FED and FDIC. Must have solid understanding of a broad product set covering derivatives, fixed income, equities, loans, FX, money markets Applicants must have strong accounting/financial reporting fundamentals combined with solid Capital Markets product knowledge.
