Senior Tax Director

Responsibilities will include: 

• Supervision and technical review of Federal and state corporate compliance projects as well as other tax and business related issues as assigned. 


• State audit resolution including interaction with auditors, supervisors and other governmental officials as well as preparation of appeals and other memorandum.


• Support the planning function including interaction with outside advisors, researching of tax issues and preparation of position papers.


• Ability to research issues in all areas of tax, with an emphasis on Federal corporate and partnership taxation.  Ability to research other areas of tax law to include identification, development of position and proposed conclusion including written memorandum of findings. 


• Assist business units with advice on a variety of tax and business related items including transactions (both intercompany and third party), contracts, reorganizations, and tax related accounting queries.  


• Assist with preparation and review of quarterly and annual tax provisions including tax balance sheets, tax risks, effective tax rate and footnote disclosures. 


• Assist with internal control requirements under Sarbanes Oxley provisions including internal testing and documentation of controls. 


• Analyze cross-border transactions requiring assessment of exposures for corporate charges and understanding of foreign tax implications of US activities.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years related experience


• B.S., Master of Tax degree preferred


• CPA certification preferred


• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral


• Must show initiative and without supervision


• Must be able to work in a team-oriented environment.


• Excellent Word and Excel skills
