VP Valuation Services

                                        Vice President, Valuation Services

Position is based in Los Angeles and we are seeking local candidates only.

THE COMPANY

Our client is a growing and profitable diversified financial services firm with 20 locations in the U.S. and Europe. They offer technical expertise in a broad range of valuation issues in multiple industries.

THE POSITION

In this position, you will work side by side with clients in determining the valuation of assets, liabilities and equity. Valuation projects are diverse and can include but are not limited to restructuring, M&A advisory, transaction support, employee stock options and commercial litigation matters. Specific responsibilities include:

• Lead project teams providing valuation and financial advisory services to clients


• Build, develop and manage client relationships


• Maintain active communication with clients to manage expectations, progress, and satisfaction


• Lead valuation analysis including determining appropriate methodologies and financial models


• Prepare client presentations and proposal material


• Recruit, train and develop appropriate staff as needed. Participate in performance evaluations

THE INDIVIDUAL

Candidates need to have strong leadership abilities and excellent client facing skills. The ability to manage multiple projects coupled with prioritization skills are crucial to succeed in these fast paced roles. Additional skills include:

• 5 plus years experience in developing and managing valuation models and other financial models such as DCF, comparable company, stock options and intangible asset models


• Knowledge of FAS 141/142 required


• CFA, CVA, ABV, AVA or ASA designations preferred


• Proficient in excel, word and PowerPoint


• Ability to travel and work additional hours as needed
