Director of Accounting

Director of Accounting is responsible for:

• Maintain timely communication with superiors; keeping them informed of all material financial and reporting issues




• planning; oversight for the budget planning and forecasting process; quarterly and mid-year management reviews; professional development and training; contract negotiation, evaluation and oversight (as appropriate)




• Design, develop, and manage business metrics




• Analyze and determine root cause issues




• Build recommendations for improvements




• Provide complex business and financial analyses to improve business decisions within the  organizations




• Streamline and improve organization efficiency through business process mapping, analysis, and reengineering




• Manage and lead a project team and/or assist in the delivery of multiple projects including setting goals and objectives for cross functional project team members; effectively communicating deliverables, due dates, action item updates, and other critical information to team members and management; planning for and mitigating issues and risks; and developing and presenting presentations to all levels of management




• Implement improvements in the way the organization produces and achieves results




• Ensure a high-quality organizational plan is maintained through monitoring programs and trends, best practices, benchmarking, and other methodologies




• Negotiate all P/L allocations for budgets and work with leadership team to set targets for upcoming year budgeting processes




• Ensure monthly close functions are completed in a timely manner for proper Percentage of Completion calculations and Level of Effort




• Responsible for inventory management as well as planning for write-offs each quarter




• Responsible for the development/preparation of annual financial plans
