Job Description:
- Identify, research, document and implement resolution of accounting issues related to the asset managements warehouse investments. Research and resolve issues arising from the divestment of our third party asset management business
- Provide oversight and support to accounting issues arising from our global real estate business
- Work with AIGs Office of Accounting Policy and business controllers on the implementation of new accounting standards (FAS 166 and 167; FSP 157-g, etc.)
- Provide support to the Asset Management Group CFO and Controller on significant accounting matters and/or transactions
- Coordinate accounting policy support with Investment Accountings Accounting Policy team related to accounting issues arising from the investment portfolio including, but not limited to restructuring of investments, new investments, fair value determinations, etc.

Education and Experience:
- CPA with 4 or more years of accounting policy experience within the asset management industry preferred, or 6 to 8 years of public accounting experience serving asset management clients
- Proficient knowledge of US GAAP
- Demonstrated research and analytical skills; comfort level creating and presenting policy information to accounting executives
- Detailed oriented with superior time management skills. Able to multitask/organize multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong oral and written communications skills.
