Controller

Our strictly retained client is a $4 billion global publicly traded medical devices marketer and manufacturer holding a leadership position in the device industry. Our client has a deep commitment to developing each team member to his/her fullest potential. This position is available due to an internal promotion.

Reporting to the Corporate VP of Finance, this Controller of our client’s largest business ($3 billion ) provides financial and analytical support to the President and sales/marketing operations of the business.  The Controller will have responsibility for the Americas, with some matrix oversight of overseas operations and manage a direct staff of 10 (and an additional 15 indirectly.)

Our client offers the opportunity to assume a highly visible senior finance role with the company’s largest division with a strong working relationship with the President at the same location, as well as the VP of Finance at the same location. 

In addition to the compensation package, our client provides full relocation.

Candidate requirements: 

MBA or CPA, undergraduate degree in relevant discipline with a GPA of 3.0 or more.

Three or more years of public accounting experience in audit, preferably of manufacturing companies would be a strong plus. 

Ten or more years of progressively more responsible positions with publicly traded global manufacturing companies.  

Experience in the medical devices, biotech or pharmaceuticals sectors a plus, but not a requirement.

Currently or recently the controller (or equivalent thereof) of a large, complex global business.  Prior experience as a "true business partner" with marketing strongly preferred.

Strong leadership, ability to develop their team, ability to work with senior leadership. 

Ability to travel 25%.
