Director - Accounting Advisory Services - 8145

Job Description: To provide technical analysis of business development transactions; follow standard setting activities of the FASB/SEC; supervise three employees; and liaise with external auditors on accounting and reporting issues. To develop, maintain and enhance relationships with business groups and other corporate staff groups.Specific Responsibilities: Supervising 3 Managers Identifying and analyzing of the accounting and reporting issues and implications of acquisitions, divestitures and unique transactions by reviewing proposals, contracts and other related documents and holding discussions with appropriate Company personnel.Position Could also Include: Monitoring and analyzing proposed rule changes; preparing comment letters to regulatory agencies about those proposals; assisting in the implementation of new requirements. Responding to operating and staff division’s day-to-day questions on accounting and reporting and providing guidance by analyzing data and assumptions and formulating possible alternatives. Preparing or revising Controller’s Accounting Policies and Procedures to reflect new accounting pronouncements or guidance, to improve clarity or to respond to changing circumstances. Identifying any control weaknesses that would require a need to emphasize existing Company accounting policies and procedures or to establish new policies and procedures. Assisting, as needed, in the Division’s training and workshops in support of finance groups worldwide   QUALIFICATIONS Mandatory Minimum Qualifications - Must Have: -Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.-CPA -10+ years relevant work experience   Preferred Qualifications: -MBA or advanced degree in Finance or Accounting a plus-Strong oral and written communication skills enabling effective communication with all levels of management   Education: Bachelors   Certifications: None   Licenses: None
