The Position:
Chef Works is currently seeking a dynamic Chief Financial Officer to oversee all company accounting practices, including accounting departments, preparing budgets, financial reports, tax and audit functions. Direct financial strategy, planning and forecasts; confer with appropriate department managers. Study, analyze and report on trends, opportunities for expansion and projection of future company growth. This position has both strategic and hands on aspects.

This position will be based out of our beautiful corporate office in Poway, California
Qualified Candidates should possess:
BS in Accounting, CPA or MBA with a Finance emphasis or equivalent
Twelve or more years progressive Accounting and Finance experience. Five or more years supervisory experience. Experience must include:
Strong working knowledge of GAAP and IFRS.
Three or more years in managing inventory domestically and internationally and in taking appropriate action in managing cash flow. Experience must include managing cash flow in rapidly growing companies.
Three or more years in a multi-site distribution environment
Three or more years in all aspects of shipping and importing from multiple manufacturing locations and suppliers. Experience in identifying and implementing trade finance to cover imports also required. Previous apparel company exposure preferred.
Strong working knowledge of California and federal labor law, and federal insurance regulations.
Managing and developing investor / institution relationships.
Ability to strongly and convincingly present recommendations or advice. Experience in providing advice and input to senior leadership team members; ensuring the company’s position is protected.
Demonstrated strong analytical skills to include experience in analyzing and optimizing processes and systems.
Ability to effectively work under pressure to meet deadlines in a high volume and fast-paced environment.
PC Proficiency to include intermediate Word, expert Excel (pivot tables, macros), and PowerPoint.
Experience must include the ability to effectively present intricate financial information to non-finance audiences.
Strong systems experience – ERP systems – mid level to large systems (AccPac, Great Plains, Mas500). Proclarity or Cognos experience a plus.
Excellent interpersonal communications skills.
Excellent organizational, time management and in meeting professional commitments.
