Position Description

Chartis International has an opportunity for an Investment Accounting Director in our Finance division.

As an Investment Accounting Director, your responsibilities will be:

Provide investment accounting oversight to Foreign General entities with respect to the application of GAAP (FSP 115, FSP 157, etc.) and the timely and accurate recording of all investment related transactions in the investment accounting systems.

Provide guidance and oversight to regional/country investment accountants to ensure investment portfolios are appropriately accounted for.

Ensure that investment related adjustments, including OTI and intercompany transactions are accurately calculated.

Follow through with Foreign General entities to ensure the appropriate entries are created and are available for booking in their ledgers.

Provide support for the external reporting process, GAAP and STAT.

Provide investment accounting support as directed by Home Office business leaders including participating in projects relating to the investment portfolio.

Oversee the set up, tracking and accounting of investments held in the Foreign General portfolios.

Coordinate/Liaise with Front, Middle, and Back Office staff including Corporate Investment Accounting.

Position Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in accounting required

15-20 years experience in accounting/finance field.

Expertise in investment accounting as well as related internal controls and processes

Multinational experience required.
