Description:

Chartis International has an opportunity for a Director of Policy Implementation in its Finance Division. This position will require management of all day to day operations of the unit.

As a Director of Policy Implementation, you will be responsible for:

Liaising with FGen OAP and AIG on issues and new accounting pronouncements (for example FAS 157).

Review of existing worldwide accounting treatment on select issues (examples include FAS 52, long vs. short duration contracts, imputed interest, purchase GAAP accounting, and pensions).

Developing specific reporting procedures (via formal bulletins) for distribution to field offices.

Monitoring of accounting treatment on complex issues during implementation/remediation phases (examples include SOP 93-7, FAS 52, and tax accounting).

Research, policy setting and implementation of procedures/strategies on select Statutory Issues (SSAP 97, SSAP 62, Non-Admitted Assets).
