Ernst & Youngs Transaction Advisory Services (TAS) practice offers companies an array of professional services around transactions. We help clients determine the right deal to do, and then assist them in doing the deal right. We advise clients along the transaction life cycle from initial strategic assessments, including valuation and tax structuring; through execution (due diligence), integration and divestures. We provide clients with a single point of contact who is focused on building a strategic relationship to address their transactions needs, and who can help leverage a global network of 5,000 transaction professionals in over 70 countries-to bring the right people and experience to work on every phase of a transaction.   Within TAS, our Working Capital Advisory Services group works with private equity firms, as well as corporate entities, to identify value opportunities that exist within a potential acquisition candidate or current portfolio company or business to improve working capital performance. Our Working Capital team works with businesses to identify opportunities to release excess working capital that can be redeployed within the business to fund strategic initiatives or return capital to equity holders.   Our Working Capital team currently has a career opportunity for a Senior Manager responsible for leading project teams advising clients on working capital improvements and cash flow management.   The candidate will contribute proactively to the growth of the team by delivering a first class product, contributing to team management and taking a lead role in networking, practice development and the marketing of Working Capital Advisory Services both internally and externally.   Responsibilities  Lead client engagement teams executing Working Capital services and work with key management and Private Equity stakeholders to identify sustainable improvements in a business working capital practices.   Provide engagement team leadership in assessing a business current working capital policies, procedures; identifying root causes that have resulted in current working capital position and developing recommendations to provide management to achieve identified working capital improvements.   Effectively lead and motivate teams with diverse skills and backgrounds, while staying abreast of current business and industry trends relevant to the clients business. Use current technology and tools to enhance the effectiveness of services.   Manage both project team delivery and clients across multi-locations/assignments.   Synthesize complex Working Capital and business issues, form initial hypothesis and identify the data required to confirm hypothesis.   Be able to analyze information/data, to solve problems and formulate views and conclusions.   Present solutions, issues and findings in both a concise written and oral format.   Provide detailed practical advice on overcoming business issues, particularly the implementation of working capital opportunities.   Lead business development activities to sell work through development of internal and external client relationship networks.   Build and maintain strong relationships both internally and externally across key clients. Be an ambassador for Working Capital Advisory Services within the firm.   Deliver a high degree of client satisfaction with the engagement process and work products sufficient to drive additional and repeated engagements in Working Capital Advisory Services.   Responsible for developing other members of the Working Capital Advisory team through coaching, training, mentoring, and a formal on the job counseling role.   Demonstrate an enthusiastic and flexible approach, able to work closely with the team, providing support to colleagues at all levels.   Demonstrated history to successfully support and participate in the sales process and secure additional services or add on projects.   Active contribution to client relationships expected.   Demonstrates effective delegation, able to influence and direct team members.   Maintain quality and consistency of performance in every task performed, while working to tight deadlines.   Seeks feedback on performance, driving own development and working effectively as a key part of the Working Capital offering team.  To qualify, candidates must have: 
  • a bachelors degree and approximately 8 years of related work experience; or a masters degree and approximately 7 years of related work experience
  • extensive experience in delivering successful Working Capital deliverables
  • Certified Public Account (CPA) a plus
  • ability to adapt to new challenges and ideas
  • excellent problem solving, project management, facilitation and interpersonal skills
  • strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • strong written and verbal communication skills
  • a dedication to teamwork
  • willingness and ability to travel
  • PC proficiency including MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
In addition, foreign languages (at business level), though not a requirement, would be beneficial.
