The Fixed Income Product Control Group, within the Finance Department, is responsible for the P&L reporting, risk reporting, and all product control functions for Fixed Income products and Interest Rate Derivatives. The core responsibilities of the team are to ensure the integrity of the trade population for the close of business, the reporting of daily risk and P&L, and verification of risk and P&L through the P&L attribution process.
Main duties and responsibilities of this particular role include:
*Ensure accurate and timely P&L and risk reporting for a number of Non-Linear Fixed Income portfolios.
*Facilitate traders’ and managers’ understanding of the same. *Facilitate growth of the firm’s Non-Linear product businesses in a controller capacity, including ad hoc analyses, model/market implementation, relevant price-testing and reserving. *Responsibility for downstream processes, including accounting, position reporting, and other control functions.
*Control and understand portfolios of Non-Linear Fixed Income products and their hedges, in a fast-paced, complex, and high volume business.
*The primary product focus will be Interest Rate Derivatives; Caps/Floors, Swaptions (American/Bermudan), Swaps, FRAs,, Futures, Treasuries, Bond Options, Options on Bond Futures, ETOs.
Trade Analysis:
*Review deal activity and its impact on firm’s P&L and risk. *Monitor and control traders in booking deals in the P&L/risk reporting systems.
Candidate Background:
* Financial or quantitative undergraduate or post graduate degree.
* 3-5 years experience, with significant exposure to management and traders. Product and market fluency. Firm understanding of accounting principles.
* Knowledge of trade payoffs and Vanilla Interest Rate Derivatives
