JOB DESCRIPTION
Houston based company looking to hire a Senior (15+ years) and Junior (5-10 years) candidate. Excellent benefits, bonus and 401k. Occasional travel. Must have E&P, upstream, reserves, acquisitions and SEC reporting experience
Responsibilities include strategic planning, including reserves management and SEC reporting, budget planning, analysis and coordination as well as assisting with portfolio development and analysis.
In addition, generates new ideas for asset management growth and actively look for strategic acquisition opportunities.
Coordinate external marketing and divestment opportunities in support of the company’s strategic plan.
Detailed Description
- Business unit reserves management including internal reporting and SEC reporting. Lead in the development of strategic plans for new SEC reporting guidelines.
- Coordinate quarterly reserve performance and capital efficiency analysis
- Business unit performance analysis including budget to actual variance analysis, capital allocation analysis, capital, production, reserve range guidance and EV projections of growth projects
- Overall responsibility for: business unit budget management, providing quality control, ensuring timely input, summary level analysis, variance analysis and scenario evaluation
- Participate in monthly financial reviews and investigation of results
- Interact with management and business unit personnel to coordinate the generation, review and approval of potential property transactions
- Assist in developing management presentations and external investor presentations
Job Requirements
- Demonstrated ability using Aries/Peep economic evaluation software
- Proficient in Excel applications
- Experience with reserve report management and SEC requirements
- Knowledge of business unit financial analysis
- Knowledge of industry trends, performance and standard metrics
- Demonstrated ability to analyze extensive amounts of data and information quickly
- Extensive network of industry contacts
- Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills
- Proven ability to work independently
Additional Details
- Bachelors Degree in Engineering
- Minimum 15 years industry experience to include:
- Acquisition analysis
