JOB DESCRIPTION

Visiting Nurse Service of New York (VNSNY) is the nations largest not-for-profit home health care organization, with 13,000 employees and over $1 billion in annual revenue. As the Associate Director of Financial Planning, you will be responsible for overseeing financial planning activities within Corporate Finance, as well as coordinating financial activities across other strategic business units to ensure the financial health of the Agency.  

 

Financial planning activities include but are not limited to: identifying key issues and trends, developing new financial approaches, performing financial modeling and analysis of business operations, new programs and acquisitions and presenting findings to Sr. Management within VNSNY.  

 

You will serve as primary liaison to senior and program management; collaborate with Director of Corporate
Finance and VP of Finance to coordinate and monitor the activities of financial planning in accordance with departmental goals and policies.  You will also assist senior management in business valuation projects.  

 

JOB REQUIREMENTS: Education:  Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or related field required. Master’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or CPA preferred.

Experience:  Minimum seven years progressive financial/accounting experience in Health Care finance required.  
Minimum five years experience dealing with Medicare, Medicaid and third party reimbursement, which includes in-depth knowledge and understanding of all applicable regulations required.  Strong analytical skills, as well as the ability to collaborate and interact cooperatively with senior executives and their staff required.    Effective oral/written communication and interpersonal skills required. Strong project management skills required.  Application proficiencies required include MS Office, Advanced Access and Excel, PeopleSoft (Nvision and Query). Knowledge of third party reimbursement preferred.
