The Position/Responsibilities
 
***The position can be located in either El Segundo, CA or Denver, CO***
 
The new Director of Special Projects will be required to assist senior management on a variety of projects that have company-wide impact. In the past, these projects have included feasibility analysis on new business lines, creation of business plans for new business lines, customer research on new products/services, analysis of the impact of public policy changes, and development and implementation of operating policies and procedures. 
 
The new Director of Special Projects for DaVita must have the following experience:
 

  • A minimum of five to seven years of experience in one of the following roles:
  • Manager- or Director-level in a consulting firm that has a healthcare or strategy practice, significant supervisory or management experience in a multi-site service company, or a service line leader in a hospital or health system
  • Strong analytical/financial skills
  • Creative, strategic thinker
  • Demonstrated skills to organize, direct and lead special projects
  • Ability to analyze the needs of the organization on a short-term and long-term basis
  • Strong, proven ability to "get stuff done" across multiple constituents within an organization
  • Healthcare experience a plus
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate persuasively, both orally and in writing (critical skill)
  • Current or recent responsibility for implementation of key operations initiatives  within his/her organization

 

Education
 
A Masters degree is required from a top school within the US
