The Senior Director of Finance will head up a new brand roll out, and lead financial decisions for the business unit. Job description :
Reporting to the VP, Finance, with a dotted line to each Business Unit Head, the Senior Director of Finance is responsible for the management of financial planning, reporting, forecasting and analysis, along with providing operational and strategic guidance to each of the business units. The Senior Director of Finance participates as a key member of each Business Units management team (including Design, PR, Merchandising, Creative) to provide a full range of financial leadership. Key Responsibilities include: Develop an annual business plan by month (including gross and net sales, gross margin, expenses, direct contribution and capital expenditures) Track and monitor performance against plan and prior year. Interact on day-to-day basis with the business unit management teams for all financial, budgetary, operational and strategic business issues. Advise management on any significant variances from plan along with recommended corrective action. Identify and implement policies/processes to improve the visibility, control and accountability of spending within the channel. Present weekly, monthly and quarterly financial updates to the business units, Corporate Finance and Senior Management. Develop models and prepare financial analyses related to the expansion of existing businesses, competitive conditions, markets and new ventures. Oversee preparation and monitor reports which highlight the operational results, forecasts and annual plans to inform business unit management and senior company management of business and financial performance on a monthly, quarterly, YTD and annual basis. Drive the implementation of budgets, detailed business plans and forecasts with business unit management. Develop effective financial targets through the coordination of sales, merchandise forecasting and business unit management that are aligned with the companys strategic plans. The ideal candidate for the Senior Director of Finance will possess the following qualifications: Bachelors degree required, MBA a plus Minimum of 10 years of progressive financial experience with prior experience and emphasis on budgeting, financial planning and analysis for a business unit with sales in excess of $100MM. Proven managerial experience Accounting background a plus Industry experience a plus A strong business partner with a positive, supportive and patient attitude. A strong leader and motivator Possess a roll up the sleeves mentality Excellent communication skills, verbal and written Solid business and finance acumen High degree of enthusiasm and drive with ability to multi-task and juggle changing priorities, while maintaining a sense of calm Motivated, detail-oriented individual who has the ability to analyze an issue with a macro- as well as micro-perspective Articulate and able to interact and communicate with senior staff and management Excellent listening, comprehension and organizational skills Strong quantitative, analytical and problem resolution skills Responsive to multiple, often competing requests A change agent, proactive and forward focused Strong systems skills Knowledge of SAP/Comshare a plus Whats on offer :
