JOB DESCRIPTION
The senior predictive modeler will support the development and deployment of value and behavioral based models, and predictive segmentation models for clients in the financial services vertical. The sr. modeler will report to the Director, Predictive Modeling, with responsibility for developing, deploying, and servicing models deployed to client financial institutions for both B2C and B2B applications. Key responsibilities include;
- Building, scoring, refreshing/re-training, and maintenance of predictive and segmentation models across multiple clients in a SLA environment
- Utilizing data mining techniques and queries to gather business intelligence for incorporation into end-user data visualization tools and key performance indicators for CRM applications
- Manage transformation of internal client data to support tests and statistical evaluation, development and application of all models
The sr. predictive modeler will also work in a consultative manner with internal/external customers to gather functional requirements, analyze database contents, work with DABI teams to understand data relationships, and participate in the development of the analytical processes for utilizing appropriate data in COE solutions.
Requirements:
- 5+ years financial services experience, preferable in customer analytics, database marketing, and direct response modeling. Ideal candidate will also possess experience in retail, wireless and/or CPG verticals
- Prefer candidate that has hands-on experience servicing predictive models deployed at the enterprise level
- Ability to contribute in a time-sensitive environment using interpersonal skills to gain cooperation and influence others that may be needed to develop and deploy DABI’s modeling solutions
- Strong ability to communicate clearly and effectively verbally and in writing to all levels of management among clients and internal audiences
- 5+ years demonstrated expertise using SAS, SPSS, KXEN and/or other modeling tools across multiple platforms and environments. Strong SQL skills a must
- Experience with relational databases (e.g., Oracle, Teradata, DB2, etc.)
- Strong MS Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint skills required
- Ability to meet all SLA’s associated with model deployment and servicing among clients
- Master’s in quantitative discipline – Ph. D a plus.
- Familiarity with CRM/Campaign Management solutions
