JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Fits in with the culture and has the ability to work with and have the confidence of the senior management team and of the board of directors

  • Minimum 10-15 years accounting/finance experience with significant and increasing management responsibilities; CPA and/or MBA strongly desired

  • Prefer prior experience as a CFO or as a divisional CFO in a portfolio company held by private equity investors

  • Demonstrated ability to add value to the business through cost management and exploiting opportunities by contributing as a key member and thought leader of the senior management team, providing input and leadership for the company’s overall business strategy

  • Demonstrated ability to ensure the company is compliant with GAAP and all regulatory areas within the CFO’s responsibilities

  • Ability to ensure that the necessary control systems are implemented and maintained to provide accurate and timely reporting and information to management and the board to proactively identify potential challenges and ensure challenges are avoided or mitigated

  • Demonstrated ability to effectively manage outside auditors, consultants, legal, and risk management professionals

  • Manufacturing cost accounting or background strongly preferred – aerospace manufacturing an advantage

  • Multi-division with intercompany sales and multi-state experience strongly preferred

  • Excellent written and oral communication and presentations skills; professional appearance and demeanor and ability to inspire confidence in audiences including customers, board of directors and investors, bank lending officers and potential buyers at exit
