Cost Accounting Manager

Our client is looking for a heavy cost accounting manager to help develop the back office area.  The candidate must have 8+ years Cost Accounting experience with food processing experience;  The candidate will apply principles of cost accounting to analyze and provide detailed cost information not supplied by general accounting systems. Work with Plant Management and corporate management to:

1. Collect and analyze data to determine costs of business activity, such as raw material purchases, inventory, and labor.


2. Analyze changes in product design, raw materials, manufacturing methods, or services provided, to determine effects on costs.


3. Analyze actual manufacturing costs and prepares periodic report comparing standard costs to actual production costs.


4. Provide Management with reports specifying and comparing factors affecting prices and profitability of products or services.


5. Must have experience with computer-based cost accounting systems.


6. Provide leadership along side Plant Management to improve Internal Controls, reporting matters, personnel matters, bank relationships, parent company relationships, etc.
