The Global Corporate Debt Products (CDP) organization is responsible for originating and underwriting debt financing solutions for large corporate clients in Bank of Americas Global Corporate and Investment Bank (GCIB) portfolio. CDP partners with teams across GCIB including Corporate and Investment Banking, Sales & Trading, Syndications, and Global Treasury Management to drive revenue growth while maintaining appropriate risk disciplines specific to GCIBs corporate credit portfolio. Integral to CDPs mission is its partnership with GCIBs Risk Management organization in order to effectively manage and monitor the credit and market risks inherent in the Large Corporate portfolio.



The role of Senior Vice President requires a comprehensive skill set in order to:

• Partner with Corporate Bankers and the Client Management Team to manage clients and provide integrated delivery of the spectrum of solutions offered in GCIB
• Independently assess the credit worthiness of prospective borrowers or trading counterparties and establish appropriate terms and conditions to mitigate risk
• Conduct initial and ongoing due diligence and maintain direct dialogue with CFO/Treasurer of portfolio companies
• Negotiate term sheets and credit documentation (lending and trading side of the business) for new transactions and amendments to existing transactions
• Manage a portfolio of clients via actively monitoring portfolio company operating performance, volatility in credit profile, and compliance with credit agreement
• Establish appropriate internal risk ratings for clients and implement accurate adjustments throughout the clients credit life cycle
• Present transactions to senior management for approval
• Develop, maintain, and manage internal relationships with business partners including Corporate and Investment Bankers, Sales & Trading, Risk Management, Syndications, and Legal
• Contribute to the professional development of VPs, AVPs, and Analysts on the team

Candidates will be expected to build extensive industry and subsector knowledge, and be able to articulate the inner workings of each client. Associates at the Senior Vice President level are expected to work independently and formulate well thought out and justifiable views on credit to fully participate in our dual approval authority environment.

  Qualifications

Required:

• 10+ years banking/credit analysis experience with ability to manage complex portfolio of accounts in all respects.
• Candidates possess strong credit skills, transaction experience, and demonstrate the ability to work with senior officers, business partners, and clients.
• Understanding of Capital Markets as it relates to the originating, underwriting and portfolio management of credit, market and operational risk.
• The candidate must be able to manage/balance business development needs with sound portfolio management and justify rationale for recommended solutions.
• Candidates must exhibit strong work ethic, attention to detail, critical thinking, effective communication skills, initiative and resourcefulness, and team focus.
