JOB DESCRIPTION

A well-established, publicly-traded, technology company located in Greater Boston has a unique opportunity for an exceptional finance executive.  The Company, recognized as an industry leader and known for its innovative products and quality service, has a newly created position on its senior management team for a Finance Director.  In this highly visible role, you will   profoundly impact the financial planning and analysis of corporate and division entities.  The Director of Finance will report directly to the Chief Financial Officer, but will have substantial interaction with the Company’s CEO, COO,  Controller and other Senior Level Executives. 


 


The Director of Finance will lead all aspects of planning , analysis and ad hoc reporting. The successful candidate will direct the financial reporting process, including the integration of the strategy planning process into the operation budget process.  


 


Qualification Requirements:



  • Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting plus 10 +year  demonstrated track record of success in a financial analysis and planning.

  • CFA and MBA or Master’s degree in Finance   

  • Knowledge of Software Services Revenue Recognition Rules (primarily SOP 81-1 and SOP 97-2)

  • Superior verbal, written and communication skills

  • Ability to think and act strategically

  • Ability to synthesize and present complex data to non financial personnel

  • Ability to analyze and communicate competitive strategies, business trends, performance trends  against plan, market trends, etc. in a clear concise manner

  • Ability to develop and deliver formal presentations to senior management and larger groups in a professional, concise, and direct manner

  • Ability to continue focus in a fast paced, entrepreneurial environment with several daily interruptions

  • Experience with Oracle software

  • Expert Knowledge of Excel, MS Word & Power Point

  • Strong project management skills

  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects.
