Director of Collections

Credit and Collections Director position with a top, growing telecommunications company with headquarters in New York City.

Company has been in business for 15 years, has over 200 employees!

The right professional needs to be a very strong supervisor and someone with management skills to oversee sales credit group, and 4 collectors.  The ideal candidate should come out of industry with at least 10 years experience, have a stable background, and have the major focus of their experience be in collections.

Some of the day to day responsibility will be:

¨          Establish new lines as well as extend credit for new and existing customers

¨          Manage 4 operations departments - Collections, Usage Management, Fraud Prevention, and Recovery.

¨          Deliver reduction in uncollectible accounts through the implementation of risk based lead lists, usage management initiatives, and improved collector productivity.

¨          Manage relationships with external suppliers such as Equifax, Trans Union, Experian, and Dun & Bradstreet.

¨          Direct responsibilities include hiring decisions, training, management of 4 departments along with staff, strategic planning, P&L management, and cash flow forecasting.
