The following are the responsibilities and duties of the CFO Trading Desk (TD)/Resolution Media (RM). This is not an all-inclusive list.

RoleThe CFO TD/RM is a shared resource responsible for overseeing all of the Finance and Accounting functions for two of Omnicom Media Groups (OMG) operating units: Resolution Media and the newly formed OMG Trading Desk. These units currently represent $X in revenue to OMG, employing approximately 150 employees across the US.

Resolution Media, a search marketing company that specializes in optimizing paid and natural search programs is a rapidly growing division for OMG. With offices across the US including Chicago (headquarters), New York and San Francisco, connects a marketers brands to their target consumers using search based solutions. Working with brand name clients like Lowes, Gatorade FedEx, Visa, State Farm and Hertz, they are evolving search marketing techniques and expanding their scope of services. The OMG Trading Desk is a rapidly growing business unit focused on improving digital advertising performance through advanced audience targeting and data driven optimization. Unlike other online exchanges, OMGs Trading Desk accesses inventory from multiple sources (aggregators, exchanges & publishers) with enhanced flexibility, transparency and accountability that allows prospective clients enhanced targeting, analytics and pricing options for their online dollars.

This position will be based in Chicago, the corporate operations for RM and the Trading Desk.

Financial Management:

Provide leadership in the accounting and finance functions with responsibilities including financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, operational reporting, revenue management for billing and accounts receivable, audits, general fiduciary responsibilities for accounting operations, internal control structures, facilities and contract management in an entrepreneurial and growth-focused environment.

Work with senior management to prepare budgets and ensure compliance.

Manage, train and direct the efforts of a Finance Manager and Billing Coordinator on all aspects of accounting and finance work.

Maintain other relations related to finance practices including with banks, payroll, vendors, and clients, as necessary.

Manages all cash management and treasury issues.

Works with staff to approve and process all monthly invoices.

Manages all capital budgeting.

Infrastructure/Reporting:

Work with senior management ensure all financial operating procedures in compliance with federal regulations. Create contract templates, balance sheets, financial statements, etc. to ensure smooth financial operations of the entity.

Create analytical tools for frontline management to assist them in profitably managing and running business operations.

Drive the analysis, preparation and presentation of all monthly, quarterly and annual finance reports to senior management.

Coordinate the collection and dissemination of relevant financial information to all staff.

Provide support to OMG for auditing and SOX compliance.

Strategic Insight/Thinking:

Function as part of the Resolution Media Executive Team

Review and negotiate all client compensation and contracts.

Manage all client Profit & Loss reports directly with senior management on a monthly basis.

Develop best practice as it relates to finance and accounting procedures.

Participate, contribute and report necessary information at OMG leadership and finance committee meetings.

Play an integral role in annual profit planning process for RM and Trading Desk units, providing necessary financial reports, strategic recommendations and operational insights.

Competencies
Knowledge/Expertise

Bachelors degree required, CPA preferred

Minimum of ten years experience in a senior financial leadership position having worked in one of the Big Four accounting firms, including previous experience managing finance and accounting functions

Previous work experience in a digital media, advertising or search marketing company highly preferred
