Sr. Accounting Manager

Multi-billion dollar publicly traded Atlanta based Organization is seeking an Assistant Controller. This position offers strong advancement potential and heavy exposure to Senior Management.

Key responsibilities for the role will include:

• Supervise a staff responsible for inventory and cost accounting.


• Prepare/review key LIFO calculations on a quarterly basis and other month-end close activities.


• Schedule and lead physical and cycle count inventories.


• Review transfer costing, purchase price variance and charge off’s.


• Assist in the division level SOX implementation associated with Inventory.


• Main contact with plant GM’s, to assist them in interpreting plants monthly operating results.


• Prepare monthly analytical reviews of plant operating activities.

Qualified candidates for this position should possess the following:

• Bachelor’s  Degree in Accounting is required


• CPA or CPA track is required.


• Big 4 Accounting Experience is Preferred


• Minimum of 2 years corporate accounting experience in preferred.


• Manufacturing experience is a plus.
