Responsibilities
Budgetary, talent acquisition, management and development responsibility with respect to the Americas accounting team.
Lead activities and accountabilities with respect to General Ledger, Contract review and accounting, Sarbanes-Oxley Compliance, Accounts Payables, Payroll and Incentive Compensation, Accounts Receivables and Collections, Fixed Assets, Expense Control and Reimbursements and Revenue billing and cash application.
Develops Projections/forecasts/analysis
Acts as a senior sponsor for policies, procedures and practices in the above areas.
Works with other leaders within the accounting function throughout the organization to ensure core policies, procedures and practices are designed, documented and followed by the Americas controller team.
Ensures adequate controls are in place to prevent significant deficiencies in internal controls and to meet Sarbanes Oxley requirements.
Maintains an effective monitoring system to ensure that controls are operating as indicated with in the process narratives and related Sarbanes Oxley documentation as well as evidence exists to support adherence to controls.
Qualifications
4 year degree in business/accounting/finance
10+ years experience in a medium to large size corporation including minimum of 5+ years as assistant controller or controller of a public entity
7+ years managing 10 or more employees
CPA, CMA or MBA or equivalent
Demonstrated leadership
Excellent coaching/team building skills
Good public speaking and interpersonal skills
Proven ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced, high-growth, rapidly-changing environment
Excellent planning, time management, communication, decision-making, presentation, and organizational skills
