CFO - Physician Group

Our client, a private group of physicians based in Manhattan, is looking for a CFO to head up their financial area. This group of doctors has been around for many years and is considered to be one of the most prestigious/well respected practices in their specialty area. The CFO will function as a business advisor to the Partners relating to all financial matters and work closely with the COO in providing strategic direction to the practice.

This person will oversee a Controller, a Billing Manager and a staff of approximately 15. Qualified candidates MUST have at least 5 years experience working in another mid sized, multi-location practice and understand how this type of practice works. This individual will be tasked with helping the doctors better understand processes like reimbursements changes, cash flows, budgeting, forecasting, cost management and the ability to identify industry trends. Must be a hands on working CFO ,familiar with negotiating contracts with insurance companies as well as having strong knowledge of reimbursement, billing and collection issues. The CFO will be responsible for all budgeting and financial reporting as well as SG&A controls.
