JOB DESCRIPTION
Job Description: Our client, is the leading provider of accounting, financial reporting, administration, consulting, and tax services to the private equity sector is seeking an Senior Vice President to join their Midtown, NYC office.. The Senior Vice President will be responsible for overall group management and a broad spectrum of financial and accounting matters affecting the firm’s clients. SVP candidates should have a strong background in accounting processes, financial services industry accounting, proven client management skills, and the ability to manage and lead a team of Managers in monitoring client deliverables and meeting deadlines. Responsibilities: • Supervise the operations of team • Overall responsibility for client relationships • Lead team meetings • Coordinate overall work plan for accounting staff, which includes managing and monitoring work in progress • Prepare mid-year, year-end performance reviews and provide ongoing performance feedback to managers • Assist SVPs, Director, Managing Director with business development initiatives • Review and quality control of key client deliverables prepared by client service team, including financial statements with footnotes, management reporting, workpapers for significant areas, accounting memos, multi-entity reporting. • Review and/or assist with preparation of consolidations for multi-entity reporting structures • Establish plan for new client setup and transitions and lead effort • Provide technical accounting/industry knowledge to clients QUALIFICATIONS Mandatory Minimum Qualifications - Must Have: Requirements • College degree or Masters in Accounting or related field • 10 + years experience in Accounting or Public accounting or equivalent public / private mix • Knowledge of financial services, investment vehicles a plus. • Knowledge of US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and other comprehensive basis of accounting • Knowledge, familiarity and experience with IFRS a plus • Interpersonal skills to develop relationships with clients and coworkers • Experience managing other accounting managers, ability to delegate tasks to Managers • Experience and good skills managing and reporting to higher level manager • Hands-on management style with strong leadership skills • Project management skills with the ability to multi-task • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills • Advanced Excel skills • Team player Education: Bachelors Certifications: None Licenses: None
