Manager Financial / Business Planning & Analysis

Company  has a large innovation team who are gearing up for several new product launches in the next few years adding to the growth of the company.  Operations in California, Washington, Michigan, Illinois, and Georgia.  In addition, processing facility in Belem, Brazil.  Company is owned by private equity firm.

This position is for someone who desires to apply their energy, talent, and education in a highly collaborative fast-paced company that is expanding its analytical capabilities.  In this role the Manager helps drive the company’s planning process and guides the senior team on key business decisions, policymaking and long-term strategy development.  The FP&A department acts as an internal consultant using quantitative, qualitative and strategic factors in making business evaluations.  This Manager works on projects and studies related to expense performance, resource efficiency and profitability forecasting and ultimately directly affects the company’s strategic decisions.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Manage, build and continue to develop the company’s annual plan and intra-year forecasts using dynamic multivariable scenario modeling and Company’s planning tool


• Leverage multiple information platforms and analytical tools to identify and address critical issues including those related to operational capabilities, working capital efficiency, and performance analysis based on multiple sets of criteria.


• Develop analytic tools and create annual and long term planning models with the senior management team


• Prepare complex rolling forecast capturing multi dimensional environment


• Identify cost savings opportunities across the business


• Develop, track and report on key performance indicators.


• Prepare analysis for ad hoc, monthly, quarterly and annual business unit reports


• Analyze growth opportunities in new markets and distribution channels


• Multi-variable optimization modeling and cash flow modeling and forecasting


• Prepare and analyze industry benchmarking and evaluate current performance drivers


• Maintain fluid and open communication among key highly-interdependent functional areas.


• Draw conclusions, make recommendations and develop presentations for executive team and board meetings.


• Prepare analysis for external reporting packages for shareholders and debt holders


• Support senior team with all analytical projects as needed


• This position has a high degree of exposure to senior management team and board members


• Position reports to the VP of Finance & Planning

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting or related degree.  MBA strongly preferred.


• Minimum of 7 years financial analysis experience for a manufacturing consumer packaged goods company


• Proven analytical and strategic thinking skills


• The candidate must have a broad based financial skill-set, be highly analytical have the ability to problem solve “on the fly”


• Advanced data analysis and dynamic modeling skills are a must


• Previous experience working with an ERP System and Business Intelligence tool, strongly preferred


• Advanced skills in Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Word and other Microsoft Office products


• Must be a self starter and be able to communicate concisely both verbally and in writing


• Demonstrated ability to exercise judgment and make sound decisions


• Ability to holistically balance multiple projects and deadlines

Very high level position with strong growth potential.  Prior incumbent recently promoted.
