Accounting Manager

Specializing in manufacturing/distribution, we seek an accounting professional from the manufacturing sector to assist the Controller. This person will become a key member of the company’s management team.

The ideal candidate is a strong cost accounting background and progressive experience in a manufacturing environment.  This person should be hands-on, organized, process and systems oriented, able to relate job costing and financial results to non-financial management, and committed to achieving tight accounting and financial tracking systems.

Responsibilities

Preparation of financial statements and budgets, supervision of payroll, month-end close, cost analysis and the supervision of other general accounting functions related to fixed assets, inventory and product pricing. In addition there will also be special projects which require the execution of annual ad hoc reporting as requested by the Controller and the CFO. 

• Bachelor’s Degree Accounting or Finance; CPA preferred
• 5-10 years experience within the manufacturing experience,1-2 years in a supervisory position
• Experience with JD Edwards or equivalent software
•  Mid to Large size company exposure including oversight of financial reporting for multiple plant locations 
• Advance Excel skills, system conversion experience a plus
• Excellent supervisory skills with a focus on team development, coaching and mentoring
• Ability to multi-task and adapt quickly within a fast-paced environment
