VP Finance

Overview of responsibilities

• Supervise the corporate accounting group + insurance manager including ME reporting, cash management, AP/AR, insurance as it relates to the management company


• Prepare ME corporate financial package on a consolidated basis, includes MTD/YTD results, variance analysis, MDA & charts.


• Manage and prepare corporate budget including P&L, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow statements


• Manage the corporate and divisional external audit process


• Have 4 direct reports

Primary Responsibilities

• Monthly Earnings reporting package


• Review AP invoices and sign checks/wires


• Prepare ad hoc reports and requests


• Review insurance program and changes w/insurance manager.  Manage the process as it relates to Corporate Management, including reconciling the master policy and payments due from the hotels


• Corporate budget


• Manage the audit process including schedule prep, review of subordinate work and interface with the auditors.


• Develop and implement information systems for accounting, financial analysis and financial reporting; develop and implement internal controls and procedures


• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual separate and consolidated financial statements, budgets, forecasts and other performance reports with meaningful analysis for management decisions


• Overview accounting and operations to ensure efficiencies run throughout

Qualifications

• BSc/BA Accounting/Finance/Business Administration or other related field


• MBA desired


• CPA a plus


• 8-10years of experience, preferably in a service or real-estate environment

Additional Experience

Financial statement – preparation, analysis, budgeting & forecasting, modeling; management reporting; systems – MAS 200, FRX, Yardi, advanced excel, word, power point;  audits & tax prep; full cycle accounting; 10+ years of accounting experience with public and private firms.
