Corporate Controller and Chief Accounting Officer

Reports to: Chief Financial Officer

Location: Bedminster, New Jersey

Compensation range: $150k - $200k base + bonus + equity

•  Registered Futures Commission Merchant (FCM); member of the National Futures Association (NFA); regulated by the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC)

Role:

• Oversee all GAAP accounting, consolidation, and financial reporting functions globally
• Will supervise staff of ~ 8 in Bedminster office and ~ 3 overseas

•  Demonstrated achievement in the following areas (candidates who cannot point to his or her direct impact in these area’s should not apply for this role)

o   Process improvement, Financial systems implementations,  Shortening accounting closing cycles without sacrificing accuracy,  Sarbox compliance,  SEC filings

• 4 years minimum of big four experience
• 4 years minimum in public company controller’s organization
• Experience with a global consolidation processes
• 3 years minimum in leadership role in public company controller’s organization
• 12 – 16 total years of experience

• Demonstrated ability to bring process and order to high growth, entrepreneurial environment
• Ability to communicate effectively across functions·         Demonstrated ability to be primary company liaison with independent auditors and tax advisors
• Delegates when appropriate; hands-on when appropriate 

Professional Preferences:

• Experience in financial services industry; experience in FCM, NFA member firm, or CFTC regulated firm
• Firm grasp of income tax concepts, including transfer pricing, FIN 48, and FAS 109
• Demonstrated ability to reduce effective tax rate
