Company Profile:

• The Company is a first-time manager of a recently formed real estate private equity fund. The fund will deploy $800M-$2B of capital for the acquisition of 5,000-10,000 foreclosed residential properties and distressed residential mortgage notes in the New York metropolitan area over the next four years.  The Company will leverage the vast experience and substantial track record of its principals to implement a variety of asset management and exit strategies to maximize the value of the portfolio.

Position:

• The Company is seeking a seasoned industry professional to assume a senior management position in the Company, responsible for overseeing the fund’s acquisitions activity.  General responsibilities include: utilizing relationships with REO and distressed note sellers to generate deal flow;  underwriting, valuing and closing acquisitions of both single assets and small portfolios;  negotiating pricing and "cherry-picking" investments from sellers;  coordinating with property-level personnel in the company’s four satellite office locations to gauge pricing levels and identify potential acquisitions.


• In addition to the property-level personnel that will report directly to the Head of Acquisitions, this position will have one direct report in the fund’s Manhattan corporate headquarters to assist in the valuation, underwriting, and closing of acquisitions.


• The Head of Acquisitions will report directly to the fund’s two principals, one of whom is among the most reputable REO and distressed note buyers in the New York metropolitan area.

Qualifications

• 7+ year experience in residential real estate finance/acquisitions


• Existing relationships with sellers of residential REOs and notes


• Proven ability to manage large portfolio transactions and execute timely due diligence


• Bachelor’s Degree
