This role is more than counterparty analysis. You will also need to be strong at interfacing with commercial desks to understand deal terms and control risk. Also,you will have to be able to work with credit terms in legal agreements, monitor credit exposures and manage excesses to limits. As the manager you will be required to "get the house in order" in terms of providing a solid organizational structure and good processes and procedures for managing work-flow amongst staff and seeing that deliverables are met. The credit manager will be responsible for 3-4 credit staff.
