Participates in the rate-making, reserving, and risk evaluation functions. Counsels management and advises on underwriting functions that require actuarial or mathematical techniques to determine appropriate courses of action. Assures preparation and interpretation of data in support of rate filings with various state insurance departments. Determines rates of mortality, sickness, retirement, etc. based on analysis of statistical data.
