The Corporate Business Development Director (also known as Venture Associate) is a key member of our Ventures team. They will be responsible for developing and evaluating investment themes by analyzing market trends, tracking competitive landscapes, and performing company related due diligence.


  • Develop and evaluateinvestment themes for the firm
    • Analyze market and industry trends
    • Track competitive landscape
    • Evaluate and conduct due diligence on potential new partners and investment themes
  • Valuing and structuringinvestments: source, de-risk, and value
    • Build and maintain detailed financial models and pro-formas
    • Develop minimal viable product (MVP) investment pathway to minimize risk
    • Contribute to deal structuring and negotiations
    • Identify potential for intellectual property ownership
  • Client Partnerretentionand growth
    • Develop investment value proposition
    • Generate returns on investments
    • Regular review of where investments are being made, their progress, and future efforts
    • Maintain excellent partner relationships

Education & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degreerequired, master’s degree strongly preferred
  • Minimum 10 years combined work experience in investment banking, corporate business development, venture capital, start-ups
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in the US health care industry (payer, provider or supplier)
  • Fluent in a range of healthcare business models and how money moves between the payers, providers, suppliers and members
  • Proven ability to create detailed financial models (CFA Optional)
