Plant Maintenance Manager Job Responsibilities:

  • Operate and maintain mechanical, electrical, and building systems and equipment.
  • Direct maintenance personnel in establishment of adequate training for plant and process equipment.
  • Responsible for all Maintenance Department schedules. 
  • Direct and assist maintenance personnel in the maintenance of plant and process equipment to systematically improve uptime.
  • Completes assigned preventative maintenance and reactive maintenance repairs.
  • Ability to maintain machinery and equipment (i.e., pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, motors, gearboxes, etc.).
  • Responsible for the preventive maintenance programs to minimize maintenance cost of all production equipment.
  • Evaluate and maintain equipment inventory, repair and maintenance records on all plant machinery.
  • Determine manpower needs of the department.
  • Participate in workplace safety and health meetings.
  • Ensure safety and health hazards are corrected, eliminated or guarded.
  • Having the authority to: Stop and prevent unsafe actions; stop the use of unsafe equipment and tools, stop work and/or have employees leave a work area.
  • Ensure that all incidenfs and assist others in general maintenance and repair of all manufacturing equipment.
  • Support cost savings initiatives and work with Operations Manager to achieve budget goals set forth.
  • Supports the organization?s efforts toward continuous improvement.
  • Follows safety regulations and enforces compliance with company safety rules and regulations. 


Plant Maintenance Manager Education and Skills:  

  • Bachelor?s Degreerequired.
  • Experience with Injection Mold operations is required.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills.
  • Must be a team player committed to working in a quality environment.
  • Experience with plant launches.
  • Basic computer skills in Microsoft Office.
  • Results oriented approach.
  • Effective leadership, management and development of direct reports.
