Position Description

The Lead Technical Business Systems Analyst (Product Owner) will work in a collaborative team environment that delivers global IT commercial solutions for the Institutional division, focused on customer facing solutions. The position is a global product manager who is responsible for the product’s success, driving the solution strategy, project execution, and solution adoption.  This position will focus on working with the enterprise Customer Digital Solutions team to provide integrated field, corporate account, and customer solutions related to food safety & public health.

This team member leads the strategy and business analysis effort to capture, clarify, and manage business system requirements.  The Lead Technical Business Systems Analyst also identifies, documents, and validates business system requirements used by the technical team, in an agile development model, to provide functionality necessary to meet business objectives.
Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop solution strategy and manage execution for customer solutions to improve food safety & public health
  • Capture VOC from our customers, corporate accounts and field to develop the product strategy
  • Gain knowledge of the users’ experience and needs to be able to make informed decisions
  • Facilitate the product decisions, including when and which features are released after gaining input from key stakeholders
  • Prioritize product requirements
  • Collaborate with the technology delivery team(s) to deliver the prioritized product features
  • Work to drive adoption of solutions with our field and customers
  • Work closely with Marketing Communications team to develop and implement communications plans
  • Partner with corporate accounts and field sales & service teams to effectively merchandise solutions with customers and drive engagement & adoption
  • Manage the short and long term financial decisions related to the product and software development
  • Project Management: fill the role of a project manager/scrummaster for targeted initiatives
  • Quality Assurance and Testing: test, verify, and document results for business acceptance of complex solutions
  • Lead/facilitate meetings with business and technical resources
  • Prepare presentations containing both business and technical topics

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 8+ years of experience working in an IT environment
  • 5+ years of experience working as a business, data analyst, or project manager
  • 2+ year of experience with Agile or iterative development methodologies
